Bond Fund for Immigrants

Pima Monthly Meeting supports the creation of a special bond fund to collect and disburse monies for individual immigration bonds for those imprisoned in immigration detention centers. PMM will continue to partner with existing organizations to provide bond funds and receive recommendations on who will receive the bond funds. This fund will be used to engage the wider Quaker community in immigration justice. The Migration Action Committee will provide the opening amount of $2000 and the fund will close when the U.S. government stops issuing immigration bonds. We give this gift with open hands and will reuse the funds as they are returned to continue to bond people out of detention centers.
